Class Pricing and Policy

Pricing

  • Friends & Family CPR Class $40

    This non-certification class is perfect for those in the community wanting to learn CPR but are not required to carry a certification through their professional license or employer. Class will last on average 1.5 hours and will cover Adult/Child/Infant CPR, AED, Choking. Hands-only CPR or can be taught with breaths. Student book/reference guide will be provided to you at the time of class. Inquire now if you would like to sign up for the next class.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Skills Assessment $55

    This class is also known as "Heartcode". There is an in-person skill assessment required following the online class completed through the AHA. Certificate needs to be sent prior to attending the in-person portion. Skills assessment can range from 30 minutes to 1.5 hours pending skill level and quantity of participants. Max class size will be limited to 6 people. Electronic cards will be sent within 10 days of class. AHA Online Class

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Full Class $100

    This class is for those in the healthcare field. Adult/Child/Infant CPR, AED, Choking with 2 person rescue. Written and skills test will be conducted. It will last 3-4 hours pending class size and skill level. Student workbook will need to be purchased prior to class and can be found on the AHA website. This is needed to complete the written (open book) exam. AHA Online Class

  • Heartsaver CPR, AED Skills Assessment $70

    This class is for those in the corporate working world or non-healthcare providers. The in-person skills assessment will be completed following the AHA online knowledge portion. Certification of online class completion is due before the in-person portion. AHA Online Class

  • Heartsaver CPR, AED, Full Class $100

    This class is for those in the corporate working world or non-healthcare providers. This full 3-4 hour class will cover Adult/Child/Infant CPR and AED. In class written and skills exam will be conducted. Student workbook will need to be purchased prior to class and can be found on the AHA website. This will be needed to complete the written (open book) exam. AHA Online Class

  • Heartsaver CPR, AED, First Aid Skills Assessment $80

    This class is for those in the corporate working world or non-healthcare providers. This 1-1.5 hour skills assessment will cover Adult/Child/Infant CPR and AED and First Aid. The online portion of the class will need to be completed prior to the skills portion. Certificates will need to be emailed prior to class. AHA Online Class

  • Heartsaver CPR, AED, First Aid Full Class $110

    This class is for those in the corporate working world or non-healthcare providers. This full 3-4 hour class will cover Adult/Child/Infant CPR and AED and First Aid. Student workbook will be provided but can be purchased for your review prior to class on the AHA website. AHA Student Workbook

  • Heartsaver Pediatric CPR, AED, First Aid Skills Assessment $80

    This class is specific for those working in childcare. The online portion will need to be completed through the AHA website and then in-person skills assessment can be completed. Certificate of online completion is due prior to class. AHA Online Class

  • Heartsaver Pediatric CPR, AED, First Aid Full Class $110

    This class is specific for those working in childcare. The class lasts up to 4 hours and maximum of 6 in class at a time. Written and skills exam will be conducted. Purchase student materials on the AHA website prior to class. AHA Student Workbook

  • First Aid Only Certification Class $70

    Heartsaver First Aid Course provides students the highest quality training in the lifesaving skills of first aid. The course empowers students to act with confidence in the event of an emergency at work, home, or in the community. Skills test-out will be completed in this course. Student will receive a certification e-card following completion. Topics covered include: • First Aid Basics • Medical Emergencies• Injury Emergencies • Environmental Emergencies Blended Learning format is available for this certification. The knowledge portion will be completed through the AHA ($16.50)and then a in-person skills assessment would be $55/person. AHA Online Class

  • First Aid Only Non-Certification Class $30

    Heartsaver First Aid Course provides students the highest quality training in the lifesaving skills of first aid. The course empowers students to act with confidence in the event of an emergency at work, home, or in the community. No skills test-out will be completed in this course and student will not receive a certification card. Topics covered include: • First Aid Basics • Medical Emergencies• Injury Emergencies • Environmental Emergencies This will only be done via in-person class lasting about 1-1.5 hours.

The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in all AHA courses and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the AHA. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA course materials, do not represent income to the AHA.

Policies

Class payment is due at the time of registration.  Registration for the class is not complete until payment is received. 

In certain circumstances a 50% deposit may be requested at registration with the remainder to be paid on the day of class. Certification cards will not be issued until the full invoice is paid. 

We understand unforeseen circumstances occur that may prevent you from making it to class. Please reach out to info@DesMoinesCPR.com in the event you need to postpone or cancel your class reservations. Unfortunately we are unable to refund your payment but it can be applied to a future class should you need to cancel/postpone. No refund will be given for not showing up to class. 

Des Moines CPR reserves the right to cancel or postpone a class. If class needs to be cancelled, we will issue you a refund. If class is postponed, we will work with you to offer a new class time that will work in your schedule. 

We are happy to provide a class outside of the Des Moines Metro. Travel requests can be made to visit you at your location! Travel fees may include $0.50 per mile with a $20 minimum. 

One-on-one skills-assessment appointments may be requested. A minimum  of $10 convenience fee will be added to the assessment price. For those unable to participate in a group setting and are requiring a personalized solo appointment, a minimum of $50 convenience fee may be imposed. Convenience fees may be imposed at the discretion of the instructor. 

If a class size greater than 2 students is being hosted at your business and auto/visual equipment is not available for use, a $25 minimum equipment fee may be imposed. 

If you would like a class hosted at your location, we are happy to do so. If you would like to use your space as a marketing opportunity and allow classes to be conducted at your facility please let us know. 

Currently classes may be held at local businesses, Libraries, Churches, Town Centers/Halls.
